Not the best quality photos but ....

I really wanted to share these pictures of the stuff I've been making for the Nostalgic Mix Fair in the Civic Hall, Totnes next Saturday.
I've made 50's and 60's style dolls with hand painted dress fabrics, geometric leather jewelry and painted stones.
I'm most excited about the paintings though, I so enjoyed doing them and it took me back to my art college days in Dublin, hmmm.
I can't help but think that my little half table might look a bit sparse, but there's still a week to go and as long as the kids stay healthy and don't have any time off school, who knows what I'll come up with next week!
Suffice to say I'm happy.

It's the vintage dolls!

I've been making these 1950's and 60's dolls. The patterned dresses I've painted, a Lucienne Day pattern and a made up one. The blue dress was inspired by the 1960's air hostess uniforms. Great fun!
I'll be taking them to the Nostalgic Mix fair in Totnes on 31st March in the Civic Hall.

Trying something new.......

I've been painting for the last few days, geometric patterns.
They've got a fifties feel to them, and the process of painting is so absorbing, it's making me very happy.

New Doll

I put a picture up before I'd finished the detail on this doll's dress, so here she is completely finished.
Again, she's for the Cross Shop, and the dress is Akira.

Here's the latest little beauty made for The Cross Shop, I love her!
She's wearing a miniature cashmere dressing gown (thanks to Portia Spooner for the cashmere) and white silk nightie, again, the grown up versions are avaliable in the boutique.
I felt a bit sad posting her off to London!

Commission for The Cross shop, London.

I've just finished a really lovely commission for The Cross, a gorgeous boutique in Holland Park, London.
I was asked to replicate items from the spring collections from designers Dosa, Samantha Sung,  Zero + Maria Cornejo and Clements Ribeiro.
So I painted the prints on two of the dresses, found antique lace for the skirt and painted the silk for the pale blue dress.
The dolls will be in the window tomorrow, Valentines Day and all the miniature clothes I made are in the shop grown up size!

I enjoyed this work so much! Thank you to Julia at The Cross for the commission!

And here are some images of the dolls at The Cross Shop, alongside pictures of the original clothes.
